Appointment of Members

The 15 members of CACMS are medical educators and administrators, practicing physicians, public members, and medical students appointed as follows:

• The Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) appoints 4 professional members - 1 of whom is the College des médecins du Québec (CMQ) representatives
• The Canadian Medical Association (CMA) appoints four professional members.
• The AFMC and CMA each appoint one public member.
• The Canadian Federation of Medical Students (CFMS) and the Fédération médicale étudiante du Québec (FMEQ) each appoint 2 student members.
• A member is appointed to represent the Liaison Committee on Medical Education (LCME).

Observers include representatives appointed by:

• The Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada (RCPSC)
• The College of Family Physicians of Canada (CFPC)
• The Federation of Medical Regulatory Authorities of Canada (FMRAC)
