Dr. Gavin Stuart takes on enhanced role at UBC

On September 24, on the recommendation of the President, the Board of Governors approved the establishment of a new position of Vice Provost Health. In addition, the Board approved that the new position be assumed by Dr. Gavin Stuart, and that Dr. Stuart’s title be changed to Vice Provost Health and Dean, Faculty of Medicine. The position of Vice Provost Health at UBC will enable a comprehensive representative role when dealing with the key stakeholders in matters affecting the provincial distributed model of medical education, teaching and research. Internal to UBC, the Vice Provost Health will work closely with the Principal of the College of Health Disciplines and the Deans of other health-related Faculties.
