The AFMC Applicant Study is an annual survey designed to collect demographic and educational information about the applicants who apply to Doctor of Medicine (MD) programs at the 17 Canadian faculties of medicine. It collects information on the age, gender, province/territory/foreign country of residence, citizenship status in Canada, previous educational institution, highest level of education, Medical College Admission Test (MCAT) scores, whether any offers were received, and whether the applicant subsequently registered. The data are collected from each faculty of medicine in the Fall each year.
