health is a Code Red emergency and supports academic health institutions to act toward planetary health education and research, and the transition to climate-resilient and low-carbon health systems.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><strong>Current Activities:<\/strong>\u00a0<\/p><p><em>\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p><em>Declaration on Planetary Health<\/em>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.afmc.ca\/initiatives\/planetaryhealthdeclaration\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"> Academic Health Institutions\u2019 Declaration on Planetary Health<\/a> calls on all academic health institutions throughout the world to take immediate action to halt both the negative impact of their activities on the planet\u2019s natural systems, and to institute adaptive and regenerative measures, including through advocacy.\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p><em>AFMC Committee on Planetary Health<\/em>\u00a0<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>This Committee seeks out opportunities and solutions for enhancing education of Canadian medical learners (undergraduate, postgraduate and post certification) on planetary health.
