L\u2019AFMC encourage les \u00e9tablissements de sant\u00e9 universitaires \u00e0 souscrire \u00e0 la D\u00e9claration qui d\u00e9cr\u00e8te l\u2019\u00e9tat d\u2019urgence en ce qui a trait \u00e0 la sant\u00e9 de la plan\u00e8te et demande la mise en \u0153uvre imm\u00e9diate de programmes de formation et de recherche en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 plan\u00e9taire et l\u2019amorce d\u2019une transition vers des syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9 r\u00e9silients au climat et \u00e0 faible \u00e9mission de carbone, afin de construire un avenir sain, durable et \u00e9quitable pour tous.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Les changements climatiques sont reconnus comme la plus grande menace pour la sant\u00e9 au XXIe si\u00e8cle. Les \u00e9tablissements de sant\u00e9 universitaires ont la responsabilit\u00e9 particuli\u00e8re d'\u00e9duquer, de former et de pr\u00e9parer les professionnels de la sant\u00e9 \u00e0 r\u00e9pondre aux besoins de la soci\u00e9t\u00e9 en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 et \u00e0 les d\u00e9fendre, tant au niveau individuel que collectif, du niveau local au niveau mondial.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>La D\u00e9claration, \u00e9labor\u00e9e par des experts canadiens et internationaux de l'enseignement m\u00e9dical et de la sant\u00e9 plan\u00e9taire, appelle tous les \u00e9tablissements de sant\u00e9 universitaires \u00e0 prendre des mesures imm\u00e9diates pour mettre fin \u00e0 l'impact n\u00e9gatif de leurs activit\u00e9s sur les syst\u00e8mes naturels de la plan\u00e8te et \u00e0 mettre en place des mesures d'adaptation et de r\u00e9g\u00e9n\u00e9ration, notamment par le biais de la sensibilisation. La D\u00e9claration d\u00e9taille un plan d'action pour que les \u00e9tablissements de sant\u00e9 universitaires fassent progresser l'\u00e9ducation et la recherche en mati\u00e8re de sant\u00e9 plan\u00e9taire en s'attaquant activement aux d\u00e9terminants environnementaux, sociaux et structurels de la sant\u00e9. En outre, la D\u00e9claration adopte une approche communautaire et appelle les signataires \u00e0 plaider en faveur d'investissements sur le plan de la sant\u00e9 publique, des soins primaires et de la r\u00e9silience climatique des syst\u00e8mes de sant\u00e9.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p>Les 17 facult\u00e9s de m\u00e9decine du Canada ont souscrit \u00e0 la D\u00e9claration.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:50px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Citations<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00ab Les facult\u00e9s de m\u00e9decine ont un mandat de responsabilit\u00e9 sociale et environnementale qui consiste \u00e0 former les futurs professionnels de la sant\u00e9 et ceux en exercice et \u00e0 mener des recherches qui am\u00e9lioreront la sant\u00e9 des populations qu'elles servent. Des preuves consid\u00e9rables indiquent que les changements climatiques entra\u00eenent d\u00e9j\u00e0 la morbidit\u00e9 et la mortalit\u00e9 humaines de mani\u00e8re complexe et interd\u00e9pendante, affectant de fa\u00e7on disproportionn\u00e9e les populations marginalis\u00e9es, notamment les personnes vivant dans la pauvret\u00e9, les groupes racis\u00e9s, les peuples autochtones, les personnes \u00e2g\u00e9es, les enfants et les femmes du monde entier. \u00bb<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Dr Julien Poitras, pr\u00e9sident du Comit\u00e9 permanent de l\u2019AFMC sur la responsabilit\u00e9 sociale et doyen de m\u00e9decine, Universit\u00e9 Laval<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div style=\"height:49px\" aria-hidden=\"true\" class=\"wp-block-spacer\"><\/div>\n\n\n\n<p><em>\u00ab Nous sommes heureux d'annoncer que toutes les facult\u00e9s de m\u00e9decine du Canada ont souscrit \u00e0 cette D\u00e9claration.
