Translations no longer required for university transcripts
July 2, 2022
At their meeting on June 23, 2022, the AFMC Committee on PGME confirmed that students will no longer be required to provide English-French or French-English translations of their university transcripts when applying for the resident match. This will reduce the cost and the administrative burden for students.
The Evolution of the AFMC
May 23, 2023
Eighty years ago, the Association of Canadian Medical Colleges (ACMC) was founded by the deans of Canadian faculties of medicine.

To support the 2022-2023 match year, CANPREPP has once again made significant improvements and added functionalities to the web tool. As of October 2022, CANPREPP will include all sub-specialty programs with individual program profiles, launch a new and improved National Calendar of Events, further highlight programs with additional information on program profiles, provided dedicated information to International Medical Graduates, launch a new blog series to support learners, and significantly improve the functionality of program and user accounts to provide an easier to use web tool.

CANPREPP is also excited to be joining the upcoming International Congress on Academic Medicine (ICAM) Conference taking place next April. The CANPREPP team will be on site engaging with stakeholders, spotlighting Canadian residency programs, providing tools and resources to learners, and collecting feedback on improving the web tool. CANPREPP will also be hosting a 60-minute session geared to learners as a further opportunity to connect and engage together on important issues related to transitioning to residency.

As always, the CANPREPP team is immensely grateful for the support and feedback we have received thus far and are exited for the launch of third version this fall!
