The Association of Faculties of Medicine of Canada (AFMC) is proud to share its 2024-25 Annual Report — now available for the first time as an interactive digital experience.

This new format makes it easier than ever to navigate, explore, and share the story of what Canada’s academic medicine community accomplished together this past year.

The report marks the first year of AFMC’s 2024-2027 Strategic Plan, rooted in three pillars: social accountability, medical education, and health research. It reflects the collective impact made possible through the dedication of partners, learners, committees and networks, and volunteers across the country.

“On behalf of our Board of Directors, I extend deep thanks to every volunteer in the AFMC ecosystem,” said Constance LeBlanc, AFMC President and CEO. “Medical training, healthcare, and communities across Canada have been made better thanks to your time, expertise, and leadership.”

Inside, you will find highlights of how AFMC delivered impact by shaping national education standards, supporting learners, gathering community, informing government and shaping healthcare policy, and stewarding resources responsibly.
