AFMC supports medical schools and the health care system in responding to the priority health concerns of historically marginalized communities, underserved populations and the planet.

Black Health

AFMC helps convene and facilitate dialogue among Black leaders, Black students and others within the Canadian medical education landscape to foster initiatives that will promote social justice, eliminate systemic barriers, and foster inclusive and equitable health care environments for all.

AFMC Committee on Black Health, Innovation and Advancement (CoBHIA) 

 

This Committee aims to bring about positive change within the Canadian medical education landscape by uniting Black leaders at Canadian faculties of medicine and medical schools and institutions, collaborating with other medical education leaders, advocating for social justice and anti-racism, taking action to eliminate systemic barriers, and promoting inclusive and equitable health care environments for all.

Admission Requirements

Every year the AFMC gathers information on Admission Requirements directly from the 17 Faculties of Medicine in Canada and publishes a free guide to help students navigate the application process.
